Alderney is the most Northerly Channel Island. Located approximately 8 miles West of France and 16 miles North-East of Guernsey. The Island measures 3.5 miles by 1.5 miles and is about 1800 acres. There are 2200 residents but the population increases to around 4000 in the peak holiday season.

Mike & I moved to the Island from Cheshire in July 2000 with our 3 children. Stuart then 11, Hannah 8 and Craig 6. The Island herd of Guernseys had been run down as the previous owner had suffered ill health. The Islanders had been forced to import Dairy products when the local supply had ended. Therefore Mike and I had to start from scratch. We produce a complete range of products with milk, cream, butter, ice-cream, whole milk yogurt, fat free bio yogurt, soured cream and butter milk processed throughout the year.

A by-product of the dairy herd are the Guernsey bull calves which are reared extensively on a grass base system for beef. These are put through our butchery and sold locally. Some to private individuals but most through the Island grocery stores.
